Cancer Care
CGS
The medical gas system at the hospital follows prescribed regulations and standards. The medical gases used in the hospital are life-supporting. Therefore, we take care to ensure that the medical gas is clean, pure and supplied under stable pressure. The system incorporates an accurate and reliable colour coding according to the kind of gas, an audio-visual monitoring system, and a device to eliminate the risk of cross connections at medical gas outlets based on the concept, ‘more safely’ and ‘more securely’.
The gas-supply system comprises:
- Gas stations for oxygen, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide
- Compressed-air and vacuum plants
- Control, alarm and valve boxes
- Terminal units for all gases
- Copper piping
